Be a “Do” Leader
This is one of the few hours in the week that’s entirely yours, and it’s a chance for you to step back so that you can step forward. You can decide to continue to be the hero and make every meeting and hop on every plane, but you’re not going to be seen as the hero. You’re still going to be dinged for these things that you need to work on.
Scale yourself while developing others
If you never step back and create a gap, there will never be real space for someone to step up.
Do Leadership is the new Thought Leadership
Success will come, I promise—but it’s not the vehicle. It’s the outcome. And if I’m honest, it’s not nearly as awesome as you think it is. The most fun I’ve ever had is when I am materially and positively impacting people and the world.
