Social Media, Voter Reports & Voter Supression…

Yet another reason I why I use and appreciate Twitter: It enables us to share information about polling experiences quickly and socially. Just use the hashtag #votereport to share your experience.

The ways in which things like social media, Wikipedia, blogging and Twitter (in particular) have [profoundly] changed and involved us all is amazing. I am in awe and look forward to processing it all slowly and in due time.

Another amazing feat of social media and civic participation, brought to you by some of the same folks ~ aiming to help voters…

2. REPORT incidents

Steve Gordon, Jr. “El Bee… Tomorrow will be an unseen feat of wide-open freedom of information. No longer does mainstream, old school media have the market cornered on divvying out the coverage and information. It’s in the hands of the people more than it has ever been. Tomorrow is legendary. History being made by the minute, with soul by the pound!

To quote Sam L. Jackson in ‘Jurassic Park’… “hold on to ya’ butts!”

Author’s notes:

  • Both websites referenced above no longer work, they look to point to gambling sites as of August 2025. Painfully poetic - gambling away democracy.

  • Originally posted on my old WordPress blog, Social Media, Voter Reports & Voter Supression… [November 4, 2008]

  • NB: Suppression has two Ps and I didn’t catch the typo in the header back in 2008, argh!
