Grace under fire

My motto: Grace Under Fire. Turns out my motto is also the moniker of a popular 90s TV show. I still love what it stands for: Having grace is about diplomacy, civility and calm. And being under fire is what we all face everyday in our own way: an overflowing plate, fires that pop up, unrealistic expectations, not enough hours in the day and challenges that seem unsolvable. If I can find comportment and calm in these fiery times, if I can keep my head about me while all others are losing theirs, then I can live to gracefully fight another day.

  • Related to Brett Butler, she was featured by VICE in their “Dark Side of Comedy” series. I highly recommend checking it out; it’s tragic and beautiful. [used to be on YouTube, looks like it might require a cable login - ugh]
