A work in progress

This link below brings you to a living, in-progress collection of my most treasured collaborations. It’s how I usually start a complex idea - in Google Docs (and sometimes Miro). And as it refines and evolves, I see a path to the next and right level of fidelity.

And so I give you the WIP:

I will continue to build out the “backend” of my portfolio and appreciate the opportunity to work in public as it humbly takes shape.

Philosophy: focused fun

A bit about my thinking, philosophy, and career reflections…

Since entering the workforce circa y2k, I’ve built a career out of discovering, failing, reinventing, and pivoting. This has ensured my insights are fresh, my cultural references are informed, and my approach is grounded in reality.

What’s it like to work with me? Well… I take teams, clients, and companies through journeys that help them transform. And through the process, I am never the same, too. (^references and recommendations upon request)

You can count on me to bring a deeply considered vision, creativity, and invitingly-generative experiences to help us all uncover and act on big opportunities.

Clients and teammates alike count on me to help them have fun while remaining deeply, purposefully focused. Here’s what this includes, give or take:

  • unexpected inspiration

  • sharp-yet-flexible frameworks

  • data-backed strategies (quant and qual)

  • the right blend of leading-and-doing

  • and relentless teamwork

…so that I may unlock those around me; so that we may experiment with heart; in order to ultimately deliver high-value impact (measured so far in: revenue growth, industry recognition, category creation, 8 and 9 figure exits, cost savings, talent development + their subsequent impact).

A little craft, a lot of heart

As for what exactly my craft is (or would it be crafts are?), here’s how I’d describe it:

  • writing in brand voices and in my own voice(s)

  • developing winning strategies by unlocking people and bringing lived experiences and childlike wonderment to bear on the challenge

  • breaking new ground in and with technology (over the years: digital, social, data viz, content… currently: the former + AI…).

  • unearthing evidence through rapid experimentation… and then bringing the right mix of discernment, patience, and confidence to move forward

  • communications, compassion, creativity, and insights that can walk with Kings, but not lose the common touch

  • curiosity

  • hacking systems, frameworks, fashion, weeds

  • helping people with the Step 2 problem; sometimes with hands-on work… sometimes helping a person/team/company hard pivot… sometimes it’s bringing the right method'/tool/framework/questions to get unstuck

  • radical collaboration, because teamwork makes the dreamwork
